About the Authors

Joanne Hutchins: Joanne is a writer who has been working on her autobiography, but so often gets distracted with her many interests which include a passion for animals, shopping, cupcakes, visiting cafes with friends and anything girly and pretty. Joanne loves to travel and does so with her trusty wheels. Sometime’s she visits with depression, diabetes is a companion. Her philosophic nature keeps these ‘friends’ under control though.

Lois Gilmour: I worked on this project mainly for fun. It was a chance to use my brain, skills, and Diploma in Community Services while looking for further lifestyle options. I have a history with Depression, Anxiety and Aspie type issues. I like fishing (though badly and not often), playing round on my computer and am a bit of a Sci-Fi fan. Oh and I get clucky sometimes.

Kerri Thorne: I’m a writer, researcher, latte drinking, current affairs tragic with a passion for mystery. I have an academic background in clinical psychology and qualitative research - and an ongoing curiosity in exploring the inter-relationships of identity, sexuality, and disability. I live life amidst the challenges of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and tussles with the “black dog”.
